What is Sexual Dysfunction?
Sex is a normal - and important - part of life. Regardless of age, relationship status, gender, sexual orientation, religion or culture, or medical problems, sexual health is a part of general health.
Common issues we see at our clinic include menopause, low sex drive (low desire, low libido), genital pain or pain with sex, difficulty with arousal (erectile dysfunction or lack of lubrication), difficulty with orgasms (anorgasmia), premature ejaculation, relationship conflict over sex, paraphilias, urinary issues causing sexual problems, and sexual abuse or sexual assault history causing sexual problems, and medical problems causing sexual difficulties, as well as many others. We work together with gynecologists, urologists, psychologists, and physiotherapists when necessary, and combine medical treatments with sex therapy when it’s appropriate.
